Frequently Asked Questions
What is your approach to dog training?
I am a force-free dog trainer, meaning all my training techniques are kind game-based, easy to learn, and enjoyable for both dog and owner alike.
When should I start training my puppy?
The best time to start training your puppy is around 12 weeks old, at this stage, they are becoming independent and settling into their new home, and likely starting to get into mischief!
Puppies learn quickly, with the correct training and guidance you can stop bad habits from forming.
Is my dog too old to be trained?
It's never too late to train a dog. As long as they are healthy and active. Adult and senior dogs who have never had any formal, structured training can still grasp the idea of following instructions in order to obtain a reward.
Is online or in-person right for me?
Of course, I would like you to attend in person as I get to meet you and your lovely pooch, you also get to meet other dog owners too. My classes are small, with a maximum of 6 so I can give each person my full attention with some 1-1 time too.
If however, you are unavailable to attend my classes or you are out of my area, I also offer 1-1 zoom sessions that have achieved fantastic results for my clients.
To help me to offer my full support through the programme I will request some videos of your dogs behaviour for me to observe.
I will then discuss with you why your dog is behaving this way and how I can help you to change their behaviour.
I will also ask you to record your training sessions so I can help you to implement the techniques correctly, and assist you in achieving the best results.
